AILITE Association formed

AILITEA logoIndigenous lecturers in Teacher Education perform a crucial role in preparing both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous teachers for the education workforce and are role models for younger generations.

The creation of a national Association of Australian Indigenous Lecturers in Initial Teacher Education (AILiTEA) also supports the education and cultural integrity of the Respect, Relationships, Reconciliation (3Rs) project.

Forming a national Association will increase the professional capacity of the group, by facilitating networking opportunities and providing peer support.

The AILITEA  Association was  launched  in Adelaide on 29 September 2015, one day prior to the MATSITI #OurMobTeach conference (PDF file).
