New South Wales had the highest percentage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (32.73%), with Queensland second (29.92%).
The Northern Territory had the highest percentage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students compared to non-ATSI students (40.12%), with Victoria the lowest percentage (1.60%).
The number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island teachers in secondary education in 2016 was 3083, compared to 2058 in 2011.
